Really like the sound of Sunn stuff, like the concert bass. Anyone ever tried the Concert Slave? There's one right by my house for like $100.
Playing stuff like Pianos become the teeth, defeater, touche amore, etc post hardcore stuff.

For $100, if fully functional, do it. It's not the most coveted piece of SUNN gear (being one of the cheaper SS units), but it's not at all bad sounding. Great for some raw, straight forward tone. The lack of tonestack isn't going to be forgiving if you're using a low end bass or have poor technique.

Will it be loud enough for shows though? Through, say an Ampeg or Carvin 810? Smaller shows, usually around 150-300 people

It'll be loud, but not very loud, especially if you're running it at a load higher than 4ohms. It'll also distort rather quickly. These were only 150 watts at 4ohms if I remember and meant as guitar amplification or small PA amplification. As a bass system it might fall short in certain band situations.

It'll certainly be worth a try.
