I stuck with it, and massively enjoyed it, particularly the later seasons. I vote "stick with it".
I like the characters a lot so far. It definitely has potential. The first few episodes didn't have a lot of actual space in them, but it's picking up in the last two episodes I've watched.

Back to the Bear, anyone else see how fucking similar Richie looks to Paul Gilbert? I swear they're cousins (hah).

I loved his arc in season 2, how he evolves. You'll see, nobody really evolves in S3 except Natalie.
Reminded me of GOT S6 I guess (IIRC ?) where nothing major happened and it looked like a teaser for the next season...

Now that I'm done with Stranger Things (watched all 4 seasons twice), I've been watching Cobra Kai. It's not too bad. :yesway:

It's better than it had any right to be given the premise, although later parts do get VERY 'old school musical'-esque but with karate instead of street gangs; the phrase "everybody was kung fu fighting" is quite appropriate, but it's so obviously not how any teens treat karate that it stands out as odd.

It's kinda unfortunate Mr. Miyagi has passed and not on the show. Cool that they do show old clips of thim though. :yesway:

started the new Batman animated series on amazon yesterday
It stays in the OG serie style and feel, pretty dark , I liked it but again that Disney feeling on some characters...Why change gender/on some iconic characters? invent new ones then FFS ! They went also nick fury mode on Gordon. Why not... but man it feels so forced...

They have to check off DEI boxes for the borg hivemind. Otherwise, it doesn't get made.

I'm up to ep6 of the new Batman and I'm really enjoying it, the 1940s setting is great and suits the dark mood, bit of a fan boy of the original Animated series but this is really good. The ep with the Firebug villian is pretty dark. Really like the take on Harvey Dent & Catwoman inparticular, and the new take on Harley.
Really not bothered by the changes to some of the major characters, doesnt affect the quality of the story telling or their character arc so far in the show imo
Great series so far, shame it's only 10 episodes

Started watching a series called Foundation. Mostly because Jared Harris is in it, but so far it has been pretty neat. Kind of like a cross between Dune and the minor Star Wars plot lines.

I watched The Acolyte in a single sitting. It was not great. A few of the cast kept me around (most notably Lee Jung Jae and Manny Jacinto) and I appreciated the nuanced portrayal of non-Jedi force users, but overall it was really flat and somehow didn't even look like Star Wars in most of the scenes. Also the fight scenes were whack.
