I have a completely useless theory that folks who know about world war history have trouble conceptualizing how little other people know about world war history. But I think I'd remember more if it was told in quippy anecdotes like the above.

I completely agree. Say you're in high school or college history class, your teacher is teaching you about World War 2 with the same enthusiasm as this

Your not gonna remember that.

On the flip side, say the teacher walks into class, and he's like, "Alright class, we're gonna learn about Aimo Koivunen today, he did enough meth to make a Floridaman say chill out dude and then spent like 3 days out skiing the Nazis."

Name one person that's not gonna be like

I just discovered that the tweeter drivers in both of my PA speakers (JBL JRX215) are blown. I also found out that the stock drivers are very shoddy and prone to blowing out. I've been very gentle with them, so I guess I'm just cursed. At least that explains why the speakers have been sounding shitty and muffled. I spent money I didn't really have to order some Selenium D220Ti drivers which will hopefully be here before I need them next weekend.... ugh.

I wish I had memorized all the notes/intervals on the fretboard as a kid. I can figure them out, like a luddite would count on fingers, but it would have been nice had I put a lil' effort in when I was younger instead of just playing Pantera and Lamb of God tabs.
I did the same thing but with Tool tabs. Finishing up my degree with a music minor in my 30s did me wonders though.

Lost more money this weekend working than I made since weekend shifts are so fucking boring I tried gambling for the first time in ages and ended up losing 500€. The worst part is this morning I thought to myself that I should get a new phone since my current one is falling apart but thought "man, I don't have phone money right now". That 500€ would have got me a kickass phone. I should just block those fucking gambling sites for good...

I ordered a bunch of stuff from fiksuruoka.fi (a web store that sells food items that are about to expire, sometimes almost for free). One of the items I ordered was coffee that cost 99 cents whereas the stuff I normally drink costs about 7€. Anyway, it's not very good.

Also I bought some vitamins that are supposed to increase testosterone production (I figured I'd give it a try since I've felt kinda worn down recently), and after the first dose I woke with the hardest boner I've ever had  Felt almost like having a steel pipe between my legs. Not that I'd ever had any issues with such things, but it was just on another level.

My theory goes a little something like "hmm I bet that fret would sound good played after this fret".

I forget who said it but whoever said "you're always only one note away from the right note" really invoked the wrong kind of confidence in me

in a similar vein, I read a YT comment stating that the brilliance of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez' guitar playing is "knowing what the right notes are.... and not playing any of them"
