:agreed: Thayil wasn't really much of a flashy player, but he was a great songwriter.

Absolutely. :agreed:

I was so pissed at "Superunknown", which was just weak in comparison to the brutal roar of "Badmotorfinger". Follow this with Candlebox's "Lucy" and Pearl Jam's "Versus", and a large chunk of the nineties music scene just imploded.

Take it from the metalhead who is biased against the nineties. Go buy "Badmotorfinger".

A large portion of Superunknown is akin to Ass Milk. Not good. Not good at all.

Yep. I still like his voice nowadays though. Sebastian Bach has a similar affliction, but can't sing worth a damn anymore.

Badmotorfinger is a great album, and i think my jaw dropped the first time i heard JCP and saw the video.

I'm still a big fan of the monstrous riff in Loud Love. Hands all Over is pretty rockin' too!

Another track from the grunge era i really liked was "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog.

Now way! SuperUnknown is one of my favorite albums of all time. I think it edges out Badmotorfinger, just barely though. That whole album just rocks.
