I've never been to a boring show, there's always something that i've liked. But

When Arch Enemy were headlining London with SYL and Throwdown as support, Arch Enemy seemed very boring, uninspiring and kinda generic in comparison to SYL. SYL were just more entertaining and knew how to get the crowd pumped up as well as laugh.

The last time I saw Children Of Bodom wasn't as great as when I first saw them on the Hatecrew Deathroll Tour. There was more younger kids this time round who had a stick up their arses and felt like they had to try and punch any one and thing around them, wankers. Plus Alexi just didn't seem as into it as the first time.

I have to say Hole was one of the most horrible things I've ever seen. Thank god it was at a festival on Randalls island in N.Y. City. I was able to see plenty of other acts that helped that day out. Hole blows:noway: :noway: :noway: Three thumbs down

I'm kinda surprised by that. Out of those artists, Steve Miller would be the one I would have guessed to be boring. I saw Styx on their 1996 "Return to Paradise Theater" reunion tour, and they were absolutely fantastic. I wasn't a big fan, but my fiance (now wife) wanted to go, and Styx really surprised me by delivering big time. Peter Frampton and Rick Derringer are both pretty legendary guitarists, and I can't think of them sucking live.

My worst concert (other than the local indie-rock bands my wife drags me to see every now and then) is hard to say, because I rarely go to see bands I don't like. Recently, however, my wife and I went to see a double bill of X and the Rollins Band. I don't have to tell you how much the Rollins Band kicked ass, but X made the big mistake of going onstage *after* Henry Rollins, and their drunken, sloppy performance was a big comedown after the intensity of Rollins. I was never a big X fan back in the day, anyway.

Melnibone (duh!)
Breed 77 opening for Danzig (who rocked BTW). They were almost comically bad. People were actually laughing at them.

I have a general rule to avoid any band with a number in their name.

as a general rule, i also avoid bands that have names that are something like "The 'Whatever's" (The Sounds, The Strokes, The Secret Machines, The Killers, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Walkmen, The Von Bondies, The Beatles, The Doors, The Sun, The Postal Service, The Hives, The Kicks, The Vandals, The Stills, The Thrills, The Shins, The French Kicks, The Faces, The Unicorns, The Smiths, The Cure, The New Pornographers, The Vines, The Pixies, The White Stripes, The Fiery Furnaces, The Rocket Summer, The Lemonheads, The Long Winters, The Cosmic Rough Riders, The Mountain Goats, The New Amsterdams, The Breeders, The Sea and Cake, The Raveonettes, The Decemberists, The Beta Band, The Early November, The Replacements, The Black Keys, The Pretenders and last but not least, The Creed.)

Exceptions - the Eagles, The Black League.

Worst concert ever - Van Halen on their most recent reunion tour with Sammy Hagar. They were fucking terrible. The highlight of the concert was that guy's bass solo, where all he did was hit the strings that made the sickest, deepest bass rumble of all time, while taking shots of Jack Daniels.

Worst concert ever: Smokey Robinson last year. Foghat was a close second.

Iron Maiden on the current tour. They played for an hour and a half and an hour and 10 minutes of that was the new album played in succession. I've never been so pissed off at a band's concert in my life.

They were also boring as hell.
