Man I think they really dropped the ball on this. If anything they should have done like Kramer and done a $1000ish import reissue and maybe one USA option. Nothing but $3000 guitars when you can still buy clean sub $2000 originals was kind of a weird way to go.

Dropping the ball is what Peavey is best at these days.

Where is this guitar being produced? The HP2 is made in the Czech Republic, so I assume this is the same?

The middle one is actually the pink, hence folks complaining about it being so light.
Is it going to be like the lavender hue Jake E Lee models? Those are actually pretty amazing looking when the light hits them.

Well..... I'm thinking if you REALLY want one, wait a couple of years and you will be able to pick one up at GC on close out for $699. I'm going to go out of a limb and say these will not sell well at all.

With Peavey the question isn't "will it sell?" It's "will it ever get made?"

Can’t used painter and inlay in the same sentence. Painted fretboard pictures. Woooooow.

So I'm late to this thread. This guitar does look awesome:

However,
$2,999 USD for a Peavey is absolutely insane. They don't have enough consumer loyalty to try to market at that pricepoint. I think they could make these in Korea and charge half the price. Talk about not reading the room - yeesh.

Do we know for sure that the diamond inlays are painted? I find it hard to believe that they would do that, given what can be done with CNC. But I have no idea.

Yes - at half the price I would be interested. At this price - no way.

To me that makes more sense - make them in Korea and charge around $1500-$1600. See how well those sell. If they move quickly and in decent numbers, THEN do an upscale one at $3000. I love the looks but no way in hell I'm paying three grand.
