ive been wanting a guitar rig that i can easily transport (even on a bus). this is my answer. i had a shitty RAM 15w practice amp with an 8" speaker. i gutted it, installed a jack/jackplate into the back. enlarged the speaker hole to fit a 10" with a jigsaw. got some wire and female disconnects, bought and wired up an Eminence Patriot Ragin' Cajun 10" 75W speaker!
now its a 75watt 1x10 cab! just need to attach a grill of some sort. almost spent $250 on the cheapest cab i could find. saved over $150 and gained a hand made cab with sentimental value and it weighs under 10lbs!
its light as hell and capable of jamming alongside drummers or whatever life throws at me. maxon od9 tubescreamer > tech21 sansamp gt2 preamp/distortion > cheap but sufficient behringer nr100 noise reducer > and the heart of this rig the electroharmonics {{Magnum44}} 44watt power amp, which can go past 44watts when pushed. The final test was actually playing it. It passed with flying colors and sounded pretty amazing. The ragin cagin 75watt 100.5Db is the perfect speaker for my mid tone heavy ways. only piece missing is a simple eq somewhere in the chain. its not professional looking but that only makes me love it more.:shred:
so does anyone else have porta rigs?

hope the pics worked (havent added pictures before)
