Meshuggah - Catch 33

Usually I fall asleep when doing this but I still kind of listen, and get into it in a different kind of way than normal.

I'll have to agree with you on Smashing Pumpkin's Saimese Dream :agreed:

Lately, King's X's Dogman and Ogre Tones has been very good for clearing my head. Eric Johnson's Venus Isle and Joe Satriani's Crystal Planet too. :yesway:

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

:agreed:

WYWH along with Dark Side of the Moon are perfect when I need to relax.
David Gilmour's On an Island is great for that purpose too.

Others are: Blackmore's Night, Arcturus, Winds, A Perfect Circle, Ulver

Oh, and of course Devin Townsends solo material!

Well, I really like these kinds of albums, so sorry if I list more than I should:

A Perfect Circle
Anathema - A Fine Day to Exit
Cold - 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage, Year of the Spider
Deftones - Around the Fur, White Pony
Finger Eleven - Tip, The Greyest of Blue Skies
Incubus - Make Yourself
Yoko Kanno
Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium
NIN - The Fragile
The Notwist - Neon Golden
Opeth - Damnation (for some reason, this is my "driving home" album)
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia, Stupid Dream
Smashing Pumpkins - MCIS, Adore, Machina, Mashed Potatoes, and sometimes Pisces Iscariot
Pulse Ultra - Headspace
TOOL - Lateralus
Type O Negative - October Rust
Devin Townsend - Accelerated Evolution (and probably some others)
VAST
Virgos Merlot - Signs of a Vacant Soul

...and more, but I won't bother trying to make a comprehensive list.

George Carlin and pretty much any kind of extreme metal tend to relax me.
Some favorites:

Actually, anything from Carlin will do. I seriously have the man's entire discography playing when I go to bed at night. :D

I think someone already mention Explosions In The Sky. Apex Twin is always good too. Mmmm Mars Volta, De-Loused in the Comatorium is usually what comes on. Some Tool usually finds it's way in the mix. Radiohead, Kid A. Celebration to get funky. Infinite Number of Sounds, Radio Whales is another great. Tycho is great electronic IDM artist, UGH I spent an entire day stuck in Sea-Tac airport.. good thing I had Tycho with me.
