Hey all,

I have been quite debating with myself if I should get a Mesa Mark V or not.

Honestly, I have the Axe Fx II but I kinda miss the tubes. If you told me about getting any other amp I would say probably say, No.

But the Mark V is kinda tempting, I mean, it is a really unforgiving amp. You can't easily hide, and really improves your playing. The Mark series are those amps that I have been craving for since the early time I started playing and I never got one.

Plus, I love the Mark IIC+ and Mark IV sounds, also that Mark I tone is really nice.

Should I go for it nor not??

What would you do?

GAS.

If you can afford it, then buy it if you want it. The whole point of working is to buy essentials first and then things you can enjoy.

But it sure doesn't sound like you need it...

I have 4 or 5 amps right now that I never play. My Soldano, that I had to have, has about 10 min of playing time on it. I was just thinking about trading my Fireball 100 in for an Engl Smolski... and today I almost bought a Framus Dragon off of a friend... F'ing GAS.

Well, if I had the money I'd certainly do it. If I had to sell my axe 2 to fund it I certainly wouldn't.

I have to agree that GAS is really leading me here. None the less, I really like it as a whole.

Well, I haven't tried to get any Mark tones yet on my Axe II.
Got any nice presets to share?

I'd just get the tones from the Axe-FX. That's why you bought it, right?
