Er, string tension's the key. If you can match the tension of your new gauge/tuning with the old one then adjustment should be minimal but you'll still have to fix the intonation.

I fucking hate adjusting trems. Which is why I have an old Jackson sitting around unplayed for >1 year as I need to do this!
