The following is the Tango Suite by Astor Piazzolla. Be forewarned, the video and audio quality is really bad, its also over 30 years old. If you want to jump to 2:20 that is where the tempo becomes lively. :yesway: The video is also out of sync with the audio so what you see and what you hear are two different things. This was done in 1 take, no editing, and none of it is improvised.

My top five has already been mentioned in this thread.

I think it's a little bit sad that we can't include keyboardists also beacuse there's plenty of great guitar/keyboard-duos. Some bands only have one guitarist and one keyboardist instead of a second guitarist.

A few examples would be:

Deep Purple
Dream Theater
Symphony X
Yngwie Malmsteen
Derek Sherinian (has worked with many great guitarists)

I don't want to repeat any, but I have to put John Haughm and Don Anderson of Agalloch in here.

I'm shocked nobody has mentioned Deftones. Although they are not really a guitar duo Chino and Stephen can meld two of the most differing guitar styles into an amalgamation of beauty.

Plenty I agree with on here for sure, such great taste the members of SS.Org have :agreed:

Would add:
Perry & Whitford from Aerosmith
LaRocque & Denner (On KD's Abigail)
Rich Robinson & Marc Ford - Black Crowes
Rudolf Schenker & Matthias Jabs - Scorpions (personally I prefer a certain Mr M Schenker with UFO but equally the Schenker bros were pretty amazing together!)

Alex Skolnic / Chris Poland (on the song Ashes Of The Wake)

um... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I might update with a 5th pair later.
