1. Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake
2. Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn
3. Mastodon - Remission
4. Meshuggah - Nothing
5. Ministry - The Last Sucker
6. KMFDM - Hau Ruck

I'm sure there are more, but I only got room for 6, lol. I probably woulda listed off ALL of the LOG albums...if I didn't feel like such a fan-boy for doing it. I honestly love every last song they've ever done.

1. Fortress-Protest the Hero
I've overplayed this album so much that some of my friends start bitching whenever I turn it on:lol:

2. Metropolis Pt.II: Scenes from a Memory-Dream Theater
Possibly my all time favorite album. The first time I listened to this all the way through I had to stop what I was doing to fully comprehend what I just listened too.

3. Ride the Lighting-Metallica
My first metal album, got me interested in playing guitar. Fade to Black will play at my funeral.

4. Alive or Just Breathing or As Daylight Dies-Killswitch Engage
Killswitch was my favorite for the longest time. These 2 albums are definitely my most played in itunes. If I had to chose one it would be AOJB, but I would miss ADD.

5. The Oncoming Storm-Unearth
I've come so close to killing myself in a fiery car accident while listening to this album at least 4 times:lol: It's my driving cd.

6. With Oden on Our Side-Amon Amarth
Comes pretty damn close to Fortress and Scenes from a Memory as my most played album of all time.

Pain of salvation - Remedy Lane; these guys are fuckin' amazing, intense emotional melodic progressive music!

Meshuggah - Destroy Erase Improve; the only album I can entirely appreciate, tons of groove without the annoying riffs they started using after Chaosphere.

Sikth - Death of a Dead Day; what an amazing album!!! pure genius!

Opeth - Blackwater Park; my fav Opeth album

Bjork - Homogenic; she has an incredible voice, so strong and emotional...and this album has great songs.

Gojira - The Link; amazing album by an amazing band with an amazing rhythm section!

It's really hard to choose a top 6 since a listen to a LOT of music...I didn't put any of my extreme metal favorites such as cryptopsy, cephalic carnage, gorguts, spawn of possession, necrophagist or even nevermore!!!

Wow...6 is a really small number of cds :D

This is very tough to narrow it down to six but here it goes…..

Rush – Power Windows
Probably not a favorite of most Rush fans but I really like this era of the band. The keys were a bit excessive during this time but in a strange way I liked it.

Dream Theater – Awake
I was going to go with Images And Words but I just prefer Awake more in the end. And for the record this is the last true DT album IMO.

Queensryche – Operation Mindcrime
Another tough choice with which album to go with but I have to go with this one over Rage For Order just because it was such a monumental success for a semi-known metal band.

Iron Maiden – Powerslave
One of the first bands that really turned me on to guitar. This album pretty much sums up all the best things about Maiden, IMO. Somewhere In Time & Seventh Son Of A Seventh Sun get 2nd and 3rd pick.

Porcupine Tree – In Absentia
These guys have opened me up to trying some different things musically and have really inspired me.

Judas Priest – Defenders Of The Faith
Another one of the bands that really changed how I looked at music and guitar.

In no particular order...

- Metallica - And Justice For All
- Lamb Of God - Ashes Of The Wake
- Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears
- Van Halen - 1984
- Megadeth - Rust In Peace
- Iron Maiden - Live After Death

I'd really like to fit some Clapton and some Bluesy stuff in there somewhere though. And some Opeth too. Damn, there's too much stuff for just 6 choices!

Meshuggah - Chaosphere (my personal album, came at the perfect time in my life)
Nofx - Pump Up The Valuum (well, clams have feelings too)
Pink Floyd - Animals (best of their albums, not a wasted second on it. magnificent)
Spawn Of Possession - Cabinet (something of a masterpiece within tech-death to me)
Zero 7 - Simple Things (british electronic ~lounge. would represent my chillout collection.)

6 albums is not enough... :(

16 Volt - Wisdom/SuperCoolNothing
: The band that got me into heavy music and industrial

American Head Charge - The War Of Art/Loyalty
: The amazing heaviness and the most original Industrial Metal ive heard in a while

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
: Most intricate and awesomely produced album EVER (IMO)

Combichrist - What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People?
: Some seriously angry electro/industrial. Noisecore to the max!! (did i mention i love percussion?)

Acumen Nation - Psycho The Rapist
: Insane stuttered guitars. Terrible vocals, but the production and style of the guitars/music is just amazing. Also, heavy.

:)

Tool - Lateralus

Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute

3. TOOL - Lateralus

4. GlassJAw - Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence

5. Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come

On second thoughts, I'm willing to compromise either glassjaw or refused for the far superior "Jeff Buckley" "Grace".
