G'day!

My band Transience http://www.facebook.com/transienceband, The Official Site of Transience have just released our first of three singles, Memory, and thought we'd see what the sevenstring.org community thought of it!

Memory by TRANSIENCE on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

We used quite a variety of gear recording this, having three guitarists tends to make that inevitable! Guitars consisted of my Ibanez RGD7421 and Blackmachine B2, a 1988 Greco MIJ Les Paul and a Maton Mastersound MS2000STD. All going through the Axe-FX II.

Bass is a Spector Euro 4 LX

Drums are a Tama Superstar Hyperdrive (6-ply Birch)
8×6, 10×6.5, 12×7, 16×14, 22×20 Drums
14×6.5 Custom Bubinga Stave Snare Drum by Disturbance Drums
13×5 Mapex Black Panther Cherry Bomb Snare

We've also got it available from Bandcamp Memory | Transience for a 'pay what you want' option for anyone who is feeling generous!

All questions (gear or non-gear), comments and criticisms welcome.

TL;DR - Prog from Melbourne, Australia, lots of gear, please check out our song and stay tuned for more to come!

Cheers

Thought I'd bump the thread up with a studio video that we did as a teaser before we released Memory. Allow you guys to see a few of the bits and pieces we used over the recording process.

Diggin' the sound. Not sure if laptop speakers do you any justice.

If you can pull the vocal layers off live, I'm in.

Might have to check you out sometime live.

Thanks gents! We're doing a music video for our second single next week which will be released some time early in January next year, but we'll have plenty more coming before then to show you guys.

Thanks again for taking the time to check us out

Thanks Fiction!

We're only just getting this band off the ground, we've only played three shows together so far, all local to Melbourne, but we'd love to get this/us out and about around the county in the future

Decided to give this a shameless bump with some gear pics. We'll probably be doing a run through of everyones gear sometime soon, until then;

Finished up our part of filming for a music video for our next release very early in January.
Managed to get a little cut on my index finger from getting a bit too in to it and attacking far too hard. Hopefully next time I'll remember that I'm supposed to by miming...

I saw your photo linked on IM's facebook wall, only having a listen now. Sounds really damn good! I'm also highly jealous of your gear

Thanks for checking us out RickSchneider, it was a nice surprise for us that they shared the photo on their page!

There has to be an upside to working a shitty job right? Feeds the G.A.S!

I am totally digging on this stuff. I am patiently waiting for more stuff & will follow along in every avenue I can online. What is 'memory's tuning if you don't mind me inquiring. It sounds amazing & I am digging on the gear choices too ;)

Thanks Brent! Hopefully we don't keep you waiting too long.

Linc and Bob, the other two guitarists use 6 strings in drop C, and I use my RGD7421 which is in GDGCFAD (low to high)
