OK so recent events have lead me to owning three new Ibanez 7s and I've been patiently waiting for all of them to be together to do the NGD.

The first one is a 2005 RG1527 in Royal Blue. Got a good deal on it from Guitar Center (as well as some money off from a trade in). Only blemishes seem to be a chip in the tip of the headstock (pictured) which I promptly sharpie'd, and then some very minor dents along the edge of the body. Before it got to me I went ahead and ordered a Seymour Duncan Pegasus bridge pickup and had it immediately installed and I can say that it is by far my favorite 7 string pup. I had never thought much into the difference in quality between the MIJ ibbys and the indos or korean made ones but I was totally blown away by the playability. Most comfortable neck I've ever played.

The next one is an Apex 2 I got in a trade with maxdgad (thanks max) for my SBMM JP70. He'd installed an Evo 7 in the bridge as well which I quite like. Haven't played this one as much as I should but when I pick it up I love it.

Lastly, I got a great deal on a used 1999 MIJ RG7420 from Guitar Center (with a hard case too!). Its got a few dings mostly notably one on the face of the body between the pickups (which I knew of before purchasing), and it didn't come with a back plate but I couldn't pass it up. One thing with this guitar though. I've seen plenty of these on here before, and I've never seen one without fret markers, which I think is kinda odd, because mine doesn't (as you can see). Have any of you seen on of these guys without fret markers? I don't mind, it looks cool as hell this way.

Anyway, sorry for all the words, its shitty (like really shitty) picture time!

Never seen a 7420 without fret markers. Kinda odd that left the factory, but cool at the same time. Happy Triple Triple day. :yesway:

that board on the rg7420 doesnt look stock. No fretboard inlays, and rounded ends too.

Normally I'd agree with you, but if you look close the side dots are like, half set in the neck and half set in the fret board. Idk, its pretty strange.

Glad to see you catching the Ibanez bug. I still remember you saying how you couldn't stand playing them 7-8 years ago.

You're not helping my Apex 2 GAS at all!

I guess it's just about time to hock that old soul that's been sitting around collecting dust so I don't have to dip into my moving fund haha.

Congrats though. That looks like a damn good day :yesway:
