Tube combo's?

Hi,

I need to change my tubes in my Randall T2. I had 12AX7 from EH in it
which worked fine, but to bad they died out.
Now, at the moment the old tubes are in, JJ ECC83S which to me sounds
dull, to dark, to muddy...

So can i put 3 diffrent tubes in my preamp to get a diffrent/clear sound?
