Update from my New Band (Axe-FX, Reaper)

My new band Megiddo Prototype is starting scratch tracks/poopy demos. I can not stress enough how many layers and harmonies are missing, these are basic tracks for our vocalist. But I thought I'd share an "Update" Vidyah. Just Andrew one of our guitarists showing a track hes working on recording. Sexy Rig goodness inside aswell.

Still doing alot of tone chasing with the axe fx; He's only had it for about 2 weeks.

@enselmis I wasnt there when he was recording to tell him. I just dont think he cared On the actual track there isnt any clipping, most of the stuff heard was the shitty camera.

@metalus Thanks bro! Been working on patches with the Fas so I assume its that. Also hes using redwirez too.

but what can u tell me abut reaper, is it a good program to use, i bought a new cpu and it wont install my um....old hacked software, but anyways i remember hearing good this of reaper here.

do u run the free or bought version

@chucknorrisred Not my room try fitting everyone minus drummer for practice lol. I tell everyone who doesn't have a DAW to get Reaper. Its a fantastic program. Comes with alot of useful vst's that I use alot. Sadly I haven't gotten the paid version; No job atm.

If I was you I'd definitely try out Reaper, Id suggest looking some tutorials up on it. Reaper does have somewhat of a learning curve in comparison to say Sonar.

Model is FAS Modern With Das Metal underneath. I was basically trying to emulate a tone my friend has in his project Icon (which I would definitely check out ICON | Free Music, Tour Dates, Photos, Videos), it has this nice mid metallic "chun" to it, but he scrapped that tone. :/ If you want it hit me up on facebook or something, or on here. The tone still needs alot of work, there's alot of fizz and crap.

Band name also isn't final, at all. Infact we're probably changing it. It was one of those "ZOMG SOUNDS COOL LETS JUMP ON IT" situation.

And yep. It is lagging cause it's a 1.8 ghz single core laptop. POS
