V3 vs. Legacy cabs

on the carvin site, there seems to be no apparent difference between the V3 cab with the vintage 30's and the Legacy cab with vintage 30's. can anyone ellaborate?

I thought the V3's came with G12T-75's. :scratch:

EDIT: My mistake, I see they have the V3's with V30's now. It would seem that the difference is just cosmetic to me.

One is Steve Vai approved, therefore more expensive. I think there are some other differences too that are explained in the Carvin catalogue.

Funny, if I recall correctly, when the Legacy series first came out, they specifically stated that Vai's speaker of choice was 25w Celestion "Greenbacks".

I guess the times are a changin'

It's funny because if I was going for a sound that I'd consider to be "Vai-ish", I'd go with Greenbacks over V30s without a second thought.
