My Vader 4x12 works pretty well with my 8-string. It has plenty of low end, and that low end is pretty tight and clear, so I don't see much of a point in adding a 2x15.

i play through a full stack 4x12 on top of 2x15 vaders and the tone quality is good with my 8 but would be better if i didnt have an EMG on it. i aslo have recorded with these vaders and they were great so i dont know who says they suck but i am more than happy with the recordings i have

Just wanted to chime in here.. I play an 8 string as well.

I have a Vader 4x12, Vader 2x15, & ISP Vector SL running together in my stack for 1 of my amps and I'm loving it.

The 4x12 is definitely the way to go IMO...
