So, now that you have all of the kinks ironed out, are you gonna crank it up, put a mic in front of it, and post up a clip or two?

Well, I'm super old, so I've collected a lot of gear over the years. Right now, it's a Shure SM57 or Beta 57A at an angle that's perpendicular to the angle of the speaker cone, about a half inch off the grill cloth, into an ART Tubefire 8 which sends the data to a Mac Mini running Logic 9 for recording. It's really as simple as mic, interface, computer. There are some decent little interfaces out there in the $100 range used.

Yeah, well you young 'uns have it better than we did. I paid $485 for a Tascam 4 track when I was 19. It recorded on to a cassette tape. All my demos were done on that machine for nearly a decade. No editing. You could bounce three tracks down to one so you could record another three tracks, but each time you did that, you lost quality and the mixes were mono. We pretty much room mic'ed. If I had put that $485 into two mics, a 2 channel USB interface, and a $300 laptop, oh the things we could have done...

We also had to search for information in a physical library, had to discover bands without the help of the internet, couldn't get 7 string guitars, and only had access to magazine or VHS porn. It was a rough life. Fortunately, we had Soundgarden in their prime.

This is the definitive live version as far as I'm concerned. From their live video, Motorvision. Chad Kroeger of Nickelback borrowed my copy of it and never gave it back... Wonder if he still has it?

hmmm... i sold my vengeance on ebay for $500 with free 2 day shipping. i was glad as hell that it sold. nothing against you and your ears, i just dont see how you like this amp. the guy i sold it to asked me if something was wrong with the amp because youtube clips sounded completely different than in real life. he actually tried to file a claim through ebay saying the item was damaged. he brought it to a guitar center that was 70 miles from him to test his to another brand new vengeance. he was greatly disappointed. cudos to you for digging that amp. most despise it.

To each his own, I enjoy it.

Haha yup. My tascam had a broken record button, had to dig your finger up there and about make it bleed to start recording.
