In case anyone missed it and is wondering whats happening, Vik posted this update a while ago:

Hey, guys! I think it's just about time to share some thoughts about current situation here at ViK guitars. It's been a calm time lately as I finally got to the point where some of my old health issues had to be emergently fixed. Just last Wednesday I had a surgery on my right kidney and I'm in hospital on recovery now. I'm getting better every day and hopefully will be back to the shop within couple of weeks. Thank you all for patience and understanding!

I had actually emailed him a bit before he posted that updated and he replied super fast while in the hospital. :yesway:

Hey!
It's been almost a month since I'm back to the shop after the surgery. The curing is still in progress but I actually feel better than before they cut me open and thats the point!

Let's pick where we left of and go on with the creation!

Keep working on headstocks - back plates glued, headstock shaped!

Mehtab's:

BTW Mehtab's is the only with contrast stripe between headstock and back plates (dude, you owe me big time ). This solely comes from the colors of the woods used. Placing thin ebony stripe on those with rosewood necks wouldn't make much aesthetic sense.

Another batch of pics is coming!

Mehtab originally asked for 5 pieces laminated neck. However to keep "one piece necks" concept on this run and (mostly) just because it feels like a crime to cut such a perfect blank in pieces we came to a compromise - adding stiffness to the neck by gluing 2 ebony fillets (6mm deep) from the inside of the neck.
