Hi All,

Does anyone know a VST sampler that supports multiple samples per note and velocity, and selects them at random?

I am thinking like a superior drummer, many samples of a "note" at different velocitys, then randomly chooses one.

The better orchestral libraries do that.
Trillan Bass does it.

I presume he means a sampler in which to load your own samples.

I usually use Battery. It's great, however the feature you describe I have never needed. I've just spent a while looking how to do that and I don't think you can in Battery. It has very nice velocity cross fade features etc, but as for placing multiple samples on the same velocity, I can't even find a way to get them not to play simultaneously, let alone at random.

I reckon you might be able to achieve it in Kontakt.
