Hey!

First post so hopefully I've not messed anything up :p

I have recently brought an Ibanez RG7321
(Basswood Body - Not the best but I'm happy)
And I was wanting to swap out the stock Pickups, they're rather bad to be honest :L

I was considering either mixing up with:
Bare knuckle Warpig - Bridge
DiMazzio LiquiFire 7 - Neck

Or just going for some Duncan blackouts.

I play a lot of metalcore and I'm in a death/black metal band.
Any opinions will be great :)
Thank You!

I have also thought of a Warpig/Liquifire combo. There's a thread around here somewhere, when someone was looking for a new combo idea for his new gitfiddle.

It's new & unique and advantageous. I'd do it but, still paying off my last guitar and POD HD PRO.

Do it!!!

All I'm wondering is will it be a simple fit? Routing etc. And will I need to adjust the body at all? It's £200 of pickups so not overly cheap :L

Any ideas on this?

I had to route my RGA7QM to fit my Warpig in the bridge. I put a Cold Sweat in the neck and needed custom pickup rings to fit both(Dave at fretsonthenet.com is awesome to deal with).

I can't comment on the Liquifire.

I've got the Liquifire in the neck of my Washburn (and my old EC-I CTM FT SilB) and it's immense, smooth yet articulate - it's a nice tweak of the Air Norton. Using an Air Norton S with a Warpig in my ESP Custom and it's not as good. I like the Warpig but I think I'll go back to a Super3 instead.

If you go Warpig I think you'd probably like the Ceramic version more than the Alnico as it'll have a bit more cut to it. From what my friend's saying the Aftermath might be more appropriate for you as he's big into his Tech Metal and needs more articulation than the Warpig can give!

Thanks for the Responses guys!
I'm looking as in depth as I can to make sure I get exactly what I want.

7-string doing tech death/Metalcore/Thrash/Black Metal.
Pretty much anything Metal :L
So I was thinking really Chuggy style Bridge and a nice smooth Neck.

Which Is why I came up with what I have, any other ideas anyone has?
:hbang:
