Wait wtf...these are $99 now on M123.

http://www.music123.com/Product/Product.aspx?sku=20396

I need to somehow get $100 and get another...just as a backup or something. Mod the hell out of it maybe.

Edit: Aww hell xwmucradiox beat me to it...I was half way through typing it and the doorbell rang, I would have beat him too!

And I need to get a guitar painted flourescent (sp?) orange, or something, would go good with my Bright Yellow Ibanez and my old room...(I had painted it Lime Green, but when my brother moved out I took his room, due to it being like twice the size, and I decided painting this room wasn't worth the effort).

I've always seen that the list price is over $900. I know list prices are a crock-o-shit, but does anyone know if these guitars used to sell for more?
The highest price I could find was $500 Canadian (from five years ago). The highest recent (before Music123 started blowing them out) price was pretty much $200 (actually about $360 Canadian) from last June. It's currently selling at a number of places for $199 USD. Currently Music123.com is selling it for:
  • Metalic Gray B-Stock: $170.99
  • Metalic Gray - $99.99
  • Black - $140.00
  • Metalic Red - $99.99
  • Metalic Gray (open box)- $180.49

Just ordered a metalic red one... I don't have an alder bodied guitar, so for $99 I figure what the hell :yesway:

Just ordered on too! Yeah dude, what the hell $99, if anything I can learn how to refret/crown/level and not worry about destroying my main guitar. :yesway:

I'm thinking remove the neck pickup, fill it, route the bridge for an EMG 707, paint it bright orange or lime green, counting the headstock, and putting a decal/logo of my own there instead of the Washburn.

That'd be my project with a second one if I had the $$, or atleast that's where I'd start. :D

Washburn WG587- I had slew of 'em. Damn fine guitars- mod the crap out of 'em. Time I should get some more! My first one cost me $750 years ago new, it was metallic red. I love the 'stop tune-o-matic' versions!

I have the exact same color, and it's a great guitar stock (new strings obviously). It's actually a great poor man's 7-string jazzer I've found, and I don't think there's an environment I would specifically not use it in, not to suggest that it'll kill everything at everything, but just to attest to its versatility.

I am seriously thinking about buying one of these at the $99 price tag, but that means buying it in red or grey.

We have pictures here of what the grey looks like, but does anyone have pics of a red one (Washburn WG587)?

...not stock photos...

Which pickups would be a good choice for this?

For SD pickups the JB (SH-4) always sounds good in Alder and of course the default neck pickup with the JB is the Jazz (SH-2).
