Damn! I was hoping for a longer scale -- got a gig with way down tuning (A flat, occasionaly dropping the 7th to G flat). I've been eyeing the Schecter Damien 7 (which is 26.5 scale) for about $400, but I'd love it if I could get away with the Washburn for $149...

For those of you who own one -- any input on how well it would handle the super low tunings without gettin' all floppy on me?

Back on subject, though, if those things are still kickin around at $100 during the summer when I get a job, I might have to pick one up I played one at a Sam Ash a few weeks ago and the stock pickups sounded decent. The neck played well, too.

Man, if it was still $99, I'd grab one for sure. Not sure why an extra $50 is slowing me down (probably be cause I know I could've had one for $99)

Anyway, any thoughts on whether the Schecter Damien 7 is worth the extra $250? I'm sure it's probably a nicer guitar, but I'm still a cheap bastard at heart and $150 vs $400 make it damn hard to decide...
