What is music worth?

To have someone regard an instrument and music with such utter disdain is saddening to say the least and I hope you can find a way out of such a soul-devouring situation. It's well worth it if you can do it, take it from [yet another] someone who's been there.

It sounds to me like she has some sort of personal issues and it's being taken out on you because she doesn't know how to handle it. One of my good friends is going through a somewhat similar situation.
