There's a brand new 6534+ in my living room, with the price tag on it, for me to use at a gig tomorrow. They don't do gear rentals, I was ampless, Glenn is the man - pretty much it. I bought my Tele deluxe there, and I've gotten strings and paid the next day, or a few JIII's for free.
When you'll bend over backwards for a local band just to keep them on the road or get them a piece of gear, and beat the big chain that just moved in, you're doing it right.
I want to buy the Peavey, but alas I can't.
