the title says it all.

For me its probably Octavarium by DT. Or maybe A change of seasons... Anyway Octavarium fullfills all the criterias for an excellent song. All the mood changes, the build up, the perfect verse in the middle starting with myungs bass and the intro is just brilliant. Its an amazing song, perfect even.

Other songs that are really long that I like are ACoS like I said and divine wings of tragedy by Symphony X... There are probably a lot more though. :metal:

I'd have to say Symphony X's Odyssey, followed closely by Divine Wings of Tragedy.

Fucking PHENOMINAL song. Absolutely breath-taking piece of music, possibly one of the most incredible things ever written.

I don't know if the live version of No Quarter off of The Soundtrack for the Song Remains the Same was over 20 mins, but if it is then that's where I stand. If it's not, chalk another one up for Echoes.

Meshuggah's "I" is close enough to 20 minutes for me...amazing track/CD...you could consider Catch 33 one song because the whole thing is meant to stream together, but I is much better imho.

Bereft by Esoteric; if "The Noise Of Depression" wasn't 18 minutes long then I would definitely choose that instead.

And along with Crimson by EoS, I would have to say Crimson 2 is just as awesome.

Also, Twilight Of The Gods/Through Blood By Thunder/Blood And Iron by Bathory could get honorable mention since the three sections included in the song are usually split as 3 tracks but sometimes stay as one large one on some copies of the album.

"Change of Seasons" for sure. I'd say "Octavarium," except I hate the first 5 minutes of that song.

"Odyssey" by Sympony X gets an honorable mention.
