Anyone done a full, swagged out, complete build Warmoth order before? Painted and finished body, neck, hardware, the whole nine yards. I'm digging that 7/8ths size S-style body they have paired with the Gibson-scale neck.
I didn't order the hardware from Warmoth, but this is one of their bodies, necks and pickguards. I've done 3 full Warmoth builds and had several parts from them in the past, all have been great. As @MaxOfMetal said be prepared to do some work or pay someone more skilled to do it for you for best results.

Very cool build, glad to hear another success story as well. Definitely moving me closer and closer to a complete Warmoth order.

May be picking up another Saber variant this weekend, currently messaging two different sellers.
Have been craving a hardtail, baritone 6 lately, although one of these would only scratch half of that itch.

I bought three Warmoth bodies... For the bodies- good quality, no fitment issues.

I bought three XGP bodies from GuitarFetish last year as well and I'll be honest, I kept them over the Warmoth bodies. The sparkle paint jobs on them are SICK and there are no flaws.
Between the XGP and Warmoth bodies, which ones did you find were lighter in weight?

Hmm, I guess they were all close enough that I didn't take notice. I don't really take weight into account with much of anything since I'm a stay-at-home hobby player now and haven't played a gig in 5 years or so. Each and every partscaster I made was heavier than my charvels though which are about 7 pounds I'd bet.

Looking to downsize and streamline my studio setup and sell off most of my amps. Thinking of selling my ENGL Ironball, Mesa Mark V 35, Bogner Uberschall tube amps and replace them all with either a Fractal Axe FX III or Kemper and keep my Mezzabarba MZero. Hardware amp models are so good now that for recording guitar that makes my life easier. I do not play in a band nor live so no need for tube amps. Thoughts? Also very interested in studio friendly amps like the new Diezel VHX that has the greatest hits of Diezel all tube goodness plus onboard effects or the Rev Generator.

I’d grab the axe unless you plan to profile your amps prior to sale and mostly use those for recordings.

I bought amps again based on potential bands and boredom, but i’d sell all of them and keep the axefx if i absolutely had to choose.

Axe owner for 4 years, ive owned 6 real amps since then and its still by far my best musician purchase.

I'm the exact opposite of budda

I've tried to go digital 4 times (Kemper, Axe, AxeII, AxeIII) and always come back to tube amps. I play mainly for enjoyment and there is just nothing as satisfying in the room as an amp and cab.

If you need the space / money / etc etc that's great, if not get a good reactive load and have at it.

The Axe is a great tool and hands down the best effects unit out there, but I would not use it as my only device unless I was forced to.

I'm also a weirdo that builds amps and guitars for fun so take that into account

I know a percentage of the fractal forum uses their axefx with a power amp and cab to get the “amp in the room” techno describes.

I never felt it was missing so I havent tried to replicate it.

“If you want “amp in the room” sound, you need to run an amp (axe/ax8/fm*+ power amp and cab) in the room.”
