I had the pedal and used it once. Not because it didn't sound good, but because I'm at home playing with my amps that I captured with it. It's awesome for recording though. I can use those amps in my DAW without having to mic it every again.
Yeah, like I mentioned above, having all that stuff plugged in can be annoying at times. I thought it could be cool to capture an OD->Amp->EQ chain if it kept the tone and dynamics of the original. Then you just play your copy if you didn't feel like firing up everything. Even better if it keeps the dynamics if you run it through a SS poweramp.

Have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom that's been sitting on my rack played for years. Think I'm gonna pick up some Dimarzio Dominions to chuck in it just so I have an excuse to mod it lol.

I don't need any other guitars, but at the same time this has me tempted:

SE McCarty 594 SC I played at an L&M was just incredibly nice, also unbelievably loud acoustically.

Impulse bought a Synergy Syn-2 preamp rack. Now I need some modules, thinking about buying the pitbull and drect. Are they different enough from the Axefx Deliverance and Recto models? Anyone with experience?

I have all 3, but the Synergy experience is way different than using Fractal, so it is hard to compare. The Synergy depends heavily on what poweramp and cab you use. Overall though, the Synergy stuff has a very tight, clear, punchy attack to it. When I play my Synergy stuff I am focusing more on that dynamic interaction with the amp. The Fractal stuff can sound great, but it doesn't have that immediate feel to it.

The Ultra Lead and DRect are both great modules though. I like them both best with boost pedals.

Apparently new EMG wiring, because for some fucking reason, I tear down the guitar, swap the pickups to a new pickguard, transfer stuff I am still using, test it, seems to work, put it back together, then as I am close to finished tuning everything back up, I start dealing with an issue of the guitar cutting out and not wanting to pass signal.

It is the guitar, by the way, Tried other cables, bypassing stuff, and another guitar. The other guitar I tried works fine. So whatever the fucking issue is, I had to get new EMG wiring with a selector switch and Start output jack for $70.

Looking to replace my Mooer GE150 with a modeler/multi fx unit with usb c that I can record out from directly. The OTG/Micro USB recording on the GE150 doesn’t offer me much in terms of options for recording into a DAW or GarageBand on my phone.
May go with a Helix stomp. Still have to do some research

Getting a new SPC and EXG just in case one of those is the issue. If I replace everything and the guitar still refuses to cooperate, then... *shrugs*

I didn't see if you posted elsewhere, did you try swapping any individual quick connect cables in that guitar?

The pickup quick connects were not changed, as the issue was showing a "master" related issue. ie, it affected everything. (Master volume, master EXG+SPC controls, wiring to output jack, switch, etc)

As such, I replaced the output wire from the Strat 5 way switch EMG sells. In addition, I switched out the Volume pot (500k) for another one I had laying around, as well as the wire from the volume pot to the EXG control, and the wire from the EXG to the SPC control.

The only things I couldn't swap out:
- The battery jack wire (two pin quick connect, and different from normal)
- 5 way switch
- output jack/wiring harness (unique like the battery jack)
- SPC and EXG controls.

I tried a different TRS to TRS cable (I use a battery pedal from EMG), as well as bypassed everything besides the battery pedal between my guitar and the Boss TU-3W. I was not getting any different responses, except when trying another guitar.

It's difficult to say with 100% certainty, but it seems something in this specific guitar is going out or dead.

I've bought a Strat wiring harness/jack as well as new SPC and EXG controls. If that doesn't solve it, then I'm pretty much out of possible avenues to investigate.

Bought an amp tube tester to help me avoid throwing away good tubes and only replacing bad ones in my tube amps. Played a Diezel VH2 today loved it but still need to try a Herbert and Hagan before I decide what Diezel amp I want. The Diezel VHX looks like end game amp with no need for pedals and the Revv Generator has tons of great modern gain amp features.
