In my quest for a smaller, more compact rig, thanks to sciatica, I scored a Mooer 003 Power Zone for £40.

Either into my Sonicake IR or the Mooer Baby Bomb, I think this would work lovely after my Joyo Chopper Z crapped out on me.
I have a few of those Mooer Preamps, and they are pretty cool. I just got rid of a couple, but kept the 005 and 011.

I have been playing with the ToneX software lately, and I have been really impressed with it. I have considered picking up a ToneX One to build a little mini rig.

I looked at those Tonex One pedals and they look incredible but funds just couldn't stretch that far. May not even need the IR pedal if the Cab SIM on the 003 is good enough.

My band are mostly playing on nights that require quick teardown, or on Goth/Industrial DJ nights where space is sparse.

I thought they worked better with the Mooer Radar. The poweramp sim, EQ, and IRs really added a lot.

I'll look forward to trying out different setups, either way it'll save my back a lot of trouble. I'll scour the net for some free IR's and have fun trying all that out, not tried any of these preamps before so that'll be exciting for me .

The Synergy SLO II came in. Still giving it some time to get used to it, etc. So far, I am liking it. So far, it sounds really good with the GT1000 Core. I was playing around with some of the Delay algorithms (echo plex, SDE-3000, space echo) as well as using the chorus (mono).

Any experience with the previous SLO module in comparison? I am looking at finally getting the synergy stuff I have been looking at for ages, and since I don't care for the double EQ, that SLO II might make the old SLO price drop a bit

None. I wanna know if anyone has both the SLO II and 6505 modules. I'm curious what the comparison.

Nice, I will probably get one eventually. I am not sure how different it will be than the 6505 and DRect modules I have, but it looks nice. I like the duplicate channels and tight switch. I have 5153, Recto, and SLO modded full amps, so I assume the 3 modules will line up in a similar way.

The Crunch channel is great and I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I find the overdrive channel to be incredibly compressed and noisy, so I will likely need to see if I can find a lower gain preamp tube and which of the two tube sockets will have the most effect on that setting. Even at 9:00, its basically all the gain and kind of noisy.

Yeah, on my SLO modded Jet City, the Overdrive channel is more compressed and smoother than the crunch channel. Way more gain of course. It always reminds me of a mix of a JCM800 and a Recto. I generally use the gain about noon to 1 oclock with a Tubescreamer on, on the Overdrive channel. I think I like a lot more gain than you, lol. I like the huge fat sound it has. It sounds big and chunky. That is what I would want the SLO II for.

So I did a thing...

...and I finally crossed the 12 string acoustic off the priority list. Artwood 12 incoming.

Just bought this old friend off ebay (Mosvalve 942):

Made my best tones ever with this thing, and some preamp pedals. Always regretted selling it and I'm glad to have it back.

Its crazy how they are literally always beat up. Like, not just neglected but full-on beat up. The one I just ordered has the upper left ear bent from an obvious drop (just like my last one! haha).

that = this?

It's imola orange pearl, a limited color on the Honda NSX, which is like my dream car.

Yes that = this (at least the second that). Sometimes my french brain doesn't compute sorry.

And good choice there, both in the car and on the color. I swear the Japanese sport cars and bikes have the best pearl like colors (although I really like the BMW M orange and blue too). At some point I think I will just show up at a refinish shop and tell them to empty their last paint gun on a build.

The one I had was beat to shit as well lol. Guess it shows how reliable these things were on the road. I think a lot of rack builders at the time like Rack Systems, CAE, and the other one that escapes me at the moment we're recommending them to clients.

Edit: was thinking of Bradshaw but he works(ed?) for CAE

Yea, to be clear though, I ask for these colors, but they aren't the actual legit colors. They just look at photos and try to match. With the kawasaki it was a little off. I haven't seen imola orange pearl in person before, but it looks really close to me.
