I was going to have GMW build me a CS 7 with a maple board but I just
got an email today from Lee Garver the owner of GMW and they are no
longer taking orders for new 7's.:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:
I was going to get this but with a maple board (bound with the same au-natural binding as the body) and a Floyd.

Beside a Loomis or a Carvin are there any other production model 7's
that you can get with a maple board or am I stuck looking at a CS build?

Agiles just don't do it for me, but thanks.
None of the 725's with maple boards have floyds either .

Loomis, 1527GW (assuming that they are still in production), Carvin, and I think that's it. Unless you're counting custom shops as well.

Strictly 7 :hbang:
CS which I'm trying to avoid but link please, I will take a look.
damn, too bad they stuck with Basswood on the 1527M.
I've played that one and actyually liked it but I'm done with Basswood. (I know I'm being a knitpicking little bitch here) A mahogany body or Alder body on that one and I'd already own it.

I want a carvin 7 with a maple board.

I'd say go for them, they've got fucking sick guitars man.
Already had an awesome Carvin 7 with a Maple board (OFR and BK'S too)
DSCN1944.jpg

had to do a total refret to get the OFR to work and it didn't sound very good until I got the BK's in there, then it sounded godly.
Looking back on it I should've kept it , it was my main player for almost 2
years, but there was something about the shape of the neck that started
to irk me. I sold it to fund a J-custom tht I didn't bond with at all:wallbash:

This is pretty much the same dilemma I was facing too. It would definitely be sweet if there was more production 7's with maple boards....but for that matter it would be pretty sweet if there was more production 7's in general.
