I know Brazilian Rosewood is CITES Appendix I.
All the neotropical Swietinia Mahoganies are CITES Appendix II.
All the Madagascar Ebonies are CITES Appendix III.
What other woods used in instrument making are trade regulated via CITES?
CITES has all the Appendices listed by species name, but that is useless for woods where the tree may be known by a common name and then the wood from the tree is yet another common name.
The CITES website also explains what being listed in each appendix entails. Also, unless I am mistaken in my reading of the US Fish and Wildlife Service site, The US requires Import permits for CITES listed Timber even though it isn't required by CITES itself.
