What tuning do you use?

I am curious as to what is the most common tuning being used by 7 String players.
Standard?
1/2 step down?
Whole step down?
Something totaly off the wall?

Let me know.

I used standard for a few years, switched to 1/2 step down about a year ago, and have been playing a whole step down for the last couple of months now... don't anticipate going any lower though since I'm getting my 8 string and a low A is already pretty damn low.

My 8 string will have somewhat interesting tuning though, G-C-F-Bb-Eb-G-C-F, or at least that's what I'm planning. Perhaps dropping the low G to an F.

Normally i just play standard tuning on mine.

Always standard tuning. I only drop to A if I'm playing a cover song.

Drop G# usually or sometimes I might venture down a little lower to drop G or drop F# but thats rare.

i used to tune to drop C, like a 6 string, only with the high D doubled. then standard for awhile, and now usually its drop Ab.

Drop B on my 6 (sometimes Drop C#)
When i get an 8; G# D# G# D# G# C F Or something along those lines

Usually E standard, one of my basses is in A standard and my seven string is is Eb because I learned a Nevermore song.

I'm tuned higher then standard. The entire guitar is tuned like a 6 string to C# (dropping the lowest string to B) with an extra high string. So from top to bottom my tuning is this:

F#(top)
C#
G#
E
B
F#
B (bottom)

Half step down, as of today. I'm diggin it a lot. A looooong time ago in my first band we used 6's tuned to cgcfad.
