This whole fuckin world is destroying itself. How do people let this shit slide?
What's next, kids who have guitar lessons will have to pay a band in order to learn one of their songs? Or will the police come flying through our bedroom windows if we feel like playin one of our favorite band's songs?

Again, this HAS to be a joke. It is ironic that this comes out a few weeks after the MPA started fucking with guitar tabulature.

Yea, but what if it's not?

Who in a million years would have thought that sharing self interpretations of how a song is played(internet tabs) would become illegal?

True, but as with anything, I'll believe when I see it.

I'd be really pissed if this were true, but I can't believe that any writer that would use so many music related puns could be employed by a respectable paper, even though that in itself is a contradiction in terms.

I'm not sure what to think about this...I'd like to think it's a hoax, but in light of the recent tab arguements... :wallbash:

You're not going to believe this, but it's not a joke....

I've got a couple of guys I chat with that live in England and we were talking about it last week. It's preposterous.

Won't it be great when we're all playing guitars with credit card slots on them?

Try to play as few songs as possible...

The thing that scares me is that most non-musician are so passe about this. I don't think they realize what an impact this will have..

Let's say that, hypothetically, you could infringe on copyright by playing someone elses tunes. How could anyone copyright a chord or a scale that has been in use for centuries? It makes no sense.
