For me it's probably a 7-string Les Paul with 24 frets, H-S-H pickups (or at least H-H with the 5-way Ibanez magic wiring) and a ZR tremolo.

If you could have any 7 string regardless of whether it exist or not what would it be?

I was messing around in MS Paint and came up with this.

Even though the fretboard looks huge:lol:

In terms of functions, I love that.

Mine would definitely be a transcale though.

This is what sounds appealing to me at the moment. I've gotten a lot of ideas from reading other members' custom guitar specs:

Body:
- Shape based on Agile Intrepid, carved top with bevels on cutaways.
- Swamp ash. Ocean blue burst finish.
- DiMarzio Drop Sonic 7 (bridge), Seymour Duncan SH-2 (neck).
- One volume knob (chrome). Tone wired to full.
- Ibanez S-style input jack.
- 5-way blade switch.
- Tune-o-matic bridge (chrome), string-thru.

Neck:
- 24 frets, Dunlop 6000.
- Graphite nut.
- Bolt-on with rounded heel.
- 5-piece maple/mahogany.
- Birdseye maple fretboard, abalone dot inlays.
- Radius – 15”.
- 26.5” scale.

Headstock:
- Maple, tilted.
- Shape based on ESP LTD H-1000/Page Hamilton ESP headstock.
- Sperzel locking tuners (chrome), four on left side, three on right.

Got an upcoming Blackmachine which I hope will do the business....

Other potential awesomeness includes a Mr Sherman special and maybe a korina Explorer copy (7 string, 25.5 scale, string-thru bridge, set neck) with C-Pig/A-pig set. These'll have to wait... if they ever become some sort of reality.

That jackson 7 string solist that Lee just scored from Brett is pretty close to being the all time "IT" gutiar for me.
Minus the EMGs and throw in a set of BK's and I'd be a real happy camper.:shred::shred::shred::shred::shred:
