The correct answer, in my experience, is getting a Solar. Evidently, your tastes can differ from mine, but right now, as far as metal guitars go, they're leaps and bounds ahead of what I know in that segment, and the QC plays a major part in that.

Ibby all day. I played one in a local Guitar Center and was really surprised at how good it felt. I'm also just starting to get really tired of all the really poorly done photo figured tops on the market.

I own(ed) both of these. I still have (and love) the Ibby. The Jackson was fine but the neck (and the pickups) was not for me. I love the neck on the Ibanez (and the pickups are good enough).

I know they are not in your choices, but Solar and Schecter both have much better quality control.

People (mostly in Europe) keep throwing Solar guitars in there, are they even available in the US?
