7 7's would indeed rule, but I think something like 5 would probably be enough. There's really only so many guitars you can own before they start getting neglected. I mean, I have 3 7's, 4 6's and 2 basses, and I'm trying to sell most of the 6's and basses because I can't justify any more guitars.

7's are where it's all at for me, and I don't play bass so often, so if I cut down the collection to a few 7's, a 6 and a bass, then I'd be sorted.

The guy has a fuckin' collection of BC Rich 'Body Art' series. Those are terrible, heinous guitars.

You know, I've got one of those and it's actually a suprisingly good guitar. The neck is shockingly good.

Ok, so I am trying to get rid of that guitar, but only to make room for more 7's. ;)

No offence taken. Just saying that they're not that bad at all, you know? ;)

Right now I have three Ibanez 7-strings:

1. Universe 2003 model
2. RG7420MC 1999 model
3. RG1527CB model (this one has a drop-A tuning)

I think I need either the new S7 or the Apex in Dark Green...hmmm....

Heh, only one for now, the 7321. But I would love to have either the Loomis, or maybe an Agile Septor if I needed one with a Floyd.

Then again... I'd also love to have a fixed bridge companion to my 6 string RG560, and perhaps replace the entire bridge and knife posts of said guitar.

I had pictures up here somewhere before (thanks Waynecustom7), but I have no idea where. Anyway, here goes:

Fernandes ZO-7 (mini-elephant looking thing with internal speaker)
Fernandes Revolver 7 with sustainer
Ibanez AJ307CE
Ibanez RG7620 (blue, white, and black Herc Fede swirl w/blue vines on 'board)
Ibanez RG7620VK
Ibanez RGK7620 (K7 body refinished in silvereburst, RG7620 neck & hardware)
Ibanez K7FB
Ibanez 540S7BK
Ibanez RG7CST
Ibanez UV777PBK
Ibanez UV7 ATD multi-color swirl
Ibanez UV7 Black w/ silver dots
Ibanez UV7 Black w/ green dots
Ibanez UV7 White
Ibanez UV7 Green
Ibanez RG7/13 Customized Doubleneck (13 string has everything doubled but the low-B)

Most of these were bought after the first seven string wave (91-93), when stores were willing to get rid of them for next to nothing. Later, I was lucky enough to work in the industry, which gave me access to some amazing deal opporrtunities. That, and never discount the joy, of a good pawn shop deal!

Cheers,
Butch

Hey Jerich,
All is well. Busy, but well. I want to talk to you about some pickups, but that is a conversation best left for PM...
Actually, most of the deals that I got were when I was in retail. When the seven string wave crashed, stores didn't want to take them in on trade. Instead of letting someone walk, I'd offer them a ridiculously low number on their guitar, hit the ATM and buy it, and offer the customer an even better deal on whatever he wanted to buy. Oh yeah, and I made the comission on whatever they bought! Everyone wins.
During my years at Ibanez, I only bought 2 sevens, one just being a stock RG7620VK. The other isn't around anymore!
We'll have to work on getting some SOM cds into the store where I am teaching. I wore the shirt last week, and a few of my guys asked about you.

Cheers,
Butch

I have 3, so I'm nowhere near top of the pile!

However, I've just been tempted by blackmachine guitars again, played another fanned fret 8 today that doug built for himself (amaxing) and a 6 string that I could never ever ever ever hope to afford, but which sounded like god. literally. THose guitars are worth more than every penny, simply amazing stuff, they make my UV's sound like crap stagg budget guitars, seriously, the difference is THAT noticable.
