I hope your tonneau cover is ridgid so you can platform on it while you shred and drive slowly through the hood.
If you mean this guy, he's Brazilian. What's the name of that Italian guy who just played gibberish? Or would that be the worst guitarist with the best technique, IDK.
David Chastain has something weird going on. I love his early albums and tried to emulate them. I thought he sounded completely unique but now I think it was because his right and left hands were totally out of sync when he played fast.
Check this out and imagine Vinnie Moore or Paul Gilbert playing these same lines.

Chuck Johnson
Goofy picking hand and spastic fretting hand, but damn it works.![]()
or are you thinking of that italian guy Stevie T bullied who is dead now? What's the name of that Italian guy who just played gibberish? Or would that be the worst guitarist with the best technique, IDK.
Yea, this is him I think. Dude couldn't carry a tune in a bucket but can somehow play complete nonsense almost perfectly.
I think you're mistaken. He posted a video for the Stanley CLARKE band. But I agree, Stanley Jordan is incredible.Love Stanley Jordan. That's a good one.
I meant Stanley Clarke but yeah....Stanley Jordan is incredible, too. I get those two mixed up all the time.I think you're mistaken. He posted a video for the Stanley CLARKE band. But I agree, Stanley Jordan is incredible.
Steve Morse is an incredible guitarist, but you could argue that his picking technique is "bad technique" with how unconventional it is.
Yeah, I think the guys who really over-obsess "right" or "wrong" technique are either trying to sell you something or it's just the one thing they can do.
But I like the idea of the thread because it's more of just like "how the heck is he holding the pick like that?" and stuff.
Your post reminded me of the guitarist who takes this approach to its ultimate conclusion: Mike Oldfield. As someone who is self taught, some of the "wrong" things I've done are apparently very technical, like instead of learning string skipping, it's easier for me say you're playing a string skipping lick that's back and forth between the e and g string, for me it's easier to play the g sting with my pick and the e string with my fingers.
