Here's a little bit of Meshuggah love from me, who else has some?

Signal chain is:
UV7BK or Warwick Corvette $$ -> Axe Fx 2 -> Logic 9

The guitars have no post precessing whatsoever, panned hard left and right.
The bass is double tracked, clean and overdriven then the clean compressed and bass boosted, the OD band pass filtered to get it to honk a bit.
Drums are superior and are still being worked on, somehow my snare's ended up WAY loud.

The mix isn't meant to sound like Meshuggah, but this is me playing something Meshugg-ish into my mix. Let's here yours guys

Added a bit more today, its not quite as Meshuggah-ish, but I'm really digging thi, I can totally vibe off it, hoping to keep this flow up and perhaps, god forbid, write an entire a song.

Dudeee, all I can think when I hear that first riff is how groovy it would be if you made the cymbals 4/4.

They are 2/4 essentially, not a lot different.

Oh I see. I'm up to four and a half minutes now and that includes another iteration of that riff with double timed drums, I can post it here I guess.

Still very rough, this is the writing process not mixing just yet lol, I'm getting very involved in this!
