I heard about this on the news. For some reason I remember hearing someone say that there is an even bigger one out there that they have yet to capture.

I don't know whether this is a record holder, but it is certainly the largest confirmed specimen currently alive, though there is a crocodile called Gustave who may be bigger and is responsible for the deaths of dozens of people. Apparently soon after this crocodile was caught another larger one was seen in the area. Considering how big it is, he could quite easily be over a hundred years old.

I'm just going to say that, as a U.S. citizen, we need to acquire that thing immediately and find some massively important use for it in our armed forces. Fuck guns and bombs, we have a crocodile that weighs one ton, and is already plated in armor.

If a crocodile does the mistake to close his mouth,you can hold his jaws closed with a rubber band.The muscles for opening his mouth are very weak.

The muscles for closing his mouth is another story though..
