Definitely not the best mix in the world but I had fun. The play through was just there because I haven't done one of those for my channel in a long time.

Try sending your entire drum bus to an aux track and adding a splash of stereo reverb to that Aux. Will give the drums more depth and dimension.

Second one's a lot better. Snare sound needs some work imho, it's close but there's something annoying about those transients. Much better than the first clip though.

I don't know how I could really make the snare any better. Like should I just redo the whole compression on it? I also have a parallel snare compression maybe I should mix that different.. Idk. Everyone has always said something about my snares and I'd like to get it right.

maybe u can modify the snare itself, or look at the EQ....
this mix really sounds great!

Get Flux Bittersweet Flux:: sound and picture development

Very good and free transient shaper. Less is more with this plugin, I think you'll get the sound right just by twisting the knob just slightly to the sweet side.

Ok ok ok. So heres another bump!
I redid my all of the drums. I just deleted all the work I had a started over, learning experience right?
Some of the parts aren't finished but I really focused on the snare and this is what I was able to get. This isn't anywhere close to where I want it. Pretty annoyed at this point. The mix was thrown together btw. I used the flux bittersweet on this one too, Great plugin btw. I used the Bitter side though instead of sweet. gave it more punch.
