I'm looking to buy a good guitar rig. First is a good amp, preferably tube but doesn't necessarily have to be. Second is a good OD Pedal and 3rd some more effects pedals. I play Classic Rock and Metal. I'm an intermediate Rythmn player, getting close to expert.

I currently own in amps:
VOX AC15 Tube, VOX AD100VT-XL Hybrid, Monoprice 15 Watt Tube, Spark 40 SS Positive Grid practice amp.

Believe it or not My 15 Watt Monoprice dials in some good shit with my Kotzen RK5 Pedal. V1

$400-500 range for amp.

Used 6505 212. Get a dolly too.

That said, your AD100VT should have some metal tones in it if your AC15 + pedal doesnt cut it. But a 5150 variant is one and done.

Doess the 5150 have a combo amp. Tubes?

Line 6 HX Stomp would be my route at that price. My helix sounds phenomenal and from what I understand the stomp does too.

If you have a katana, it can be used as a cab until you get a different one. This would allow you to also look at heads, not just combo amps.

It's not the best cab, but it's not bad. A speaker swap is also pretty feasible in a katana. Anderson's has a youtube video about it.
