Always hard to pick top ones. But in no particular order:

  • Venetian Snares (celebrate his entire discography)
  • Aphex Twin (though I'm really disappointed with Syro)
  • Culprate (for his two experimental albums which are completely brilliant, not for his straight up dubstep)
  • Bluetech (particularly for his first 3 albums)
  • Access to Arasaka (all his stuff sounds very similar, but I can't get enough of this shit)

The bassist in my band used to be all about electronic music, and still listens to it from time to time. He sent me a graph of genre popularity over time.
I edited it to show my interests in electronic music

Seriously, though, I couldn't ever really get into much pop-oriented electronic stuff, save for a couple artists here and there, with the exception of Aphex Twin. Rhubarb is one of the best songs I've ever heard, across any genre.

Things I do like and listen to a lot, though, would be things like Basinski's Disintegration Loops, Reich's Pendulum Music (which Aphex Twin did an installation of a few years back. Super cool and large-scale), and Lucier works like Music on a Long Thin Wire or I am Sitting in a Room. I find the process of the music and the compositional ideas and goals interesting, sometimes moreso than the music, itself.

Definitely been listening to alot of wiccaphase, and spooky black even tho i guess theyre not exactly "electronic artists" since they have producers who make their intrumentals they just sing on them.

If were talking legit producers im a big fan of kid HNRK's stuff, and flylo is god tier. The sadboys have some insanely high quality production from yung sherman and yung gud and whitearmor. Smokefilleddream has alot of stuff i like too.

I'm old, so I'll go old school:

Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze, Pete Namlook, Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom, et al.

I'm all about those synthesizers.

Dude, that's a ....ing kick ass taste in music you got there.

On the other end of the spectrum though there is Perturbator which is like 80's Synthwave, but really dramatic. Well worth a spin if you don't know it.

There are quite a lot of electronic bands I want to check out, but I'm kinda slow on the process.
