Beautiful guitars indeed, these Double EDGE models. Most of the times you see many chips in the finish around the edges because the clear coat is so darn brittle.

The technical difference in terms of piezo electronics between the 202* and the 212* models is the revision of the L.R. Baggs Ctrl-X preamp. The second generation had the possibility for mixing magnetic and piezo sounds to one output using the 3-way mini switch.

i bought my rg2020 when they first came out in 2000. it is still my favorite guitar and i will never sell it. i put a JB(f)/59 in there right when i got it and have always liked the tone i get out of them.

It looks like I'll end up with either a fred or evo in the bridge, and an air norton in the neck on mine. Just hope they'll do the job. I have little experience with mahogany..
