So we all have those albums that we love but eventually fade away into our music collection. However, I'm sure we all have those ones that we have to listen at least one song a day if not the whole thing.

Mine are (in no order of preference):

1. Devildriver- The Last Kind Words
2. Decapitated- organic hallucinosis
3. Disturbed- Indestructible
4. Machine head- The Blackening
Arch Enemy- Khaos legions (my first "death" metal album)
5. Slipknot- Iowa
6. Exodus- the atrocity exhibition- exhibit A
7. DIO- Holy Diver :hbang:
8. Hour of penance- vile conception
9. Trivium- Shogun
10. Gojira- The way of all flesh.

Honor up
Pantera- vulgar display of power
Slayer- reign in blood
Allegaeon- fragments of form and function

What are yours?

Hm, in no order I'd say -

1. The Stranger - Billy Joel
2. Powerslave - Iron Maiden
3 and 4. Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 1 & 2 - Helloween
5. Symphony of Enchanted Lands - Rhapsody (of Fire)
6. Master of Puppets - Metallica
7. Colors - Between the Buried and Me
8. True Blue - Tina Brooks
9. A Night at the Opera - Queen
10. A Night at the Opera - Blind Guardian

I can easily go back to these albums any day and listen to them from start to end.

I'm really into power metal, as you can guess, but I'm also really into a lot of other things. That's why it would be impossible to order them, I mean, how could you compare The Stranger to Colors, or True Blue to Master of Puppets, or even compare the two A Night at the Opera albums?

Mixin' it up a little here, I listen to a lot less metal than people would guess. These are just regular studio albums, but some of these artists have some spectacular non-album work under their belt too. Furthermore, these are chosen because of how they come together as albums and that's why you (sadly) won't see some of my favourite bands on here. For instance, I love the hell out of Queen, but I don't ever HAVE to listen to their songs in the order they're in on the albums and they often work better on their own, IMO.

On with it!

Jeff Buckley - Grace.
Eels - Electro-Shock Blues.
Metallica - Ride The Lightning.
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden.
QOTSA - Songs for The Deaf.
The Cardigans - Long Gone Before Daylight.
Moi Caprice - Once Upon a Time in The North.
The Jezabels - Prisoner.
Mew - Frengers.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz.

Yarp, that's what came to mind after mulling it over a little.

...I'd be surprised if this thread isn't a variant of more than a few old ones, though.

Honorable 11 would be QOTSA's Songs for the Deaf.

I never listen to any record once a day. In fact I often won't listen to other peoples music for weeks and concentrate on my own playing, but these are 10 records that are essential in my opinion and for my musicial taste:

Evergrey - The Inner Circle
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Dream Theater - Awake
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
Steven Wilson - Grace for Drowning
Strapping Young Lad - City
Subway To Sally - Mitgift
Eric Fish - Alles im Fluss

Oh... Are these already 10? Ahh... fu** it.

Everything else from Tool and Devy.
