Animals as Leaders - Animals as Leaders
John Coltrane - Blue Train
Cloudkicker - Beacons (or Subsume... or Fade... How exactly does one choose?)

I would probably cheat having a guitar and playing my own version of the songs I like so my catalog would be bigger. (I still would miss a lot of stuff because I'm not the best player ever, I can sing though! lol)

Still... I don't think I can choose 5, I would probably kill myself lol

Converge - Jane Doe
Ne Obliviscaris - Portal Of I
Altar Of Plagues - Teethed Glory And Injury
Sigur Ros - ( )

Those 4 won't change, nr. 5 depends on my mood. Right now I would choose White Moth Black Butterfly - One Thousand Wings.

Btw, it's nice to see some Altar Of Plagues love in this thread, the album is so damn good. It's a shame they broke up.

I love these threads  So I guess I am going for covering all my bases when it comes to genres, going for stayers that I never get tired of. I guess I'd go with something like this:

Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
Meshuggah - Chaosphere
The Faceless - Planetary Duality
NOFX - Ribbed
Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible

And just because you can't stop me, here are 5 runner-up's:

Tool - Lateralus
SGM - In Glorious Times
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Dream Theater - Awake
Pink Floyd - Animals

And I can't believe I just left out another 25 sure picks but that's how these lists work isn't it

Between the Buried and Me - Colors
-This is basically the album that got me into actual proggressive metal, ultimately killing the djent phase I had.

The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
-This album is just amazing. Every time I listen to this, I hear something different. Love it.

The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath
- It's hard to choose between this, Amputetchure and Frances the Mute, but I feel like there is so much good shit on this one. I love this band too much.

Fredrik Thordendal - Sol Niger Within
-Love this album. It came out 17 years ago and it still baffles me. It makes a lot of the djent bands just look stupid. Fredrik is a ....ing alien.

Radiohead - Ok Computer
-Ok Computer is amazing. Radiohead is amazing.
