Hi everyone, what a nice forum you have here!:hbang:

My name is Janne, and I'm from Finland. I'm 24 and been playing for about 6 years now. I play mostly rock and metal, and occasionally some blues and just recently some country (although I need another ten years to be able to chicken pick properly  )

I've concentrated on 6-strings for far too long; I only have one 7-string at the moment, and to tell the truth, it kind of sucks. It actually suck so bad I don't feel like playing it at all.:barf:
It's a cheap Harley Benton. It was originally black but I decided to refinish it. Here's a pic. Looks nice though:

I also had an Ibanez RG7321, but I sold it about six months ago. The tone of the low B string was a bit disappointing to tell the truth, it didn't have much sustain to it and I couldn't get it to intonate properly with heavier gauge strings.

I was at a Nevermore gig a week ago, and after spending two hours in front of Jeff Loomis :)bowdown:   ), I decided I need a proper sevenstring. So I'm hoping to score a decent one ASAP. The Hellraiser would be an ideal choise with it's longer scale. And if it's good enough for Jeff Loomis, it's good enough for me. "Sadly", I have a custom 6-string Ran in the making so I can't afford a 7 just yet. But, in the meantime I think I'll play the hell out of my other guitars.:shred:

It's nice to be here!:metal:

hey dude. welcome! please tell for the RG7321 you tried putting different pickups in it?!! lol. If you did that your problem would have been solved. The 7321 is an awsome litte guitar for the price, you change the pickups on it, it then becomes a very decent guitar. Buy another one and mod the shit out of it :hbang: lol

Well, I actually planned on swapping the bridge hum for a Dimarzio Evolution, but then I decided I don't need a 7-string after all, I'd just detune a sixstring to B. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong.:wallbash:. It's kinda hard to play for example the Nevermore stuff when the high e is missing
You're right, it was pretty good bang for the buck. It had a nice low action and it was overall very well built. I kind of regret selling it but I had to fund my new acquisitions.

Hey, I saw your review over at JCF. It was actually your review that helped me discover this site.:wavey:

Welcome! :wavey: I don't know how good of a guitarist you are, but you take great pictures!

Thanks, I think I take better pics that I know how to play.:)
The neverending gas takes time away from practising. Especially now that I discovered this forum, too much guitar porn here

Seriously though, it's a bit sad really. I'd be a much better player if I would've used more time on playing than gassing for new gear.
I'll try to get a grip and start practising...right after some more gassing.:D

yo, welcome to the site, thats a damn nice case you got with the ibby there, i find the RG7321's to be pretty cool guitar even with the stock pups (for clean stuff mind) they work well with the Pod stuff i find... anyway welcome again and enjoy the site, there are loads of great players here that you can pick their brains via the lessons and loads of people that know their stuff for modding your guitars so you'll more than likely gain alot from this site :metal:

Tervetuloa iloiseen joukkoomme!

Eli suosittelen kaikin puolin :agreed:

And for all you non-Finns, I was just talking about the Nevermore show(I was at the front row too, right where Loomis was playing) and I was praising the Hellraiser.

Kiitos kiitos.

Ostin uutena Turun F-Musiikista. Olen jälkeenpäin nähnyt halvemmallakin siellä täällä.
