Thought you guys may appreciate to check out this epic zebrawood top I just finished gluing on this one piece sapeli mahogany body!

I intentionally left the end wood (the white part) in the center because it looks bad ass and totally natural, its only decorative so there is no structural reasons to not use this portion of the wood

This was the wood when I first bought it....

I've never seen Zebrawood that looked like that before. I've only ever seen the really straight grained (quartersawn?) stuff, like this:

It looks really cool, can't wait to see in finished

yep thats correct mine is slab cut and not quatersawn, thats why i'm using it for a gorgeous distinguished guitar top

I like the look of both, but the cool thing about the slab cut is that you get some very nice unique ''marble'' effects, with the finish everything is going to pop out...

Here is an exemple of a quatersawn zebrano board i used on an old build of mine...

I love it. It looks awesome. I ordered a Zebrawood custom but supposedly they are having a hard time find a good piece.
