This is " Ex Nihilo ", a track released for the English Djentlemens Quarters, and this track will be available on our free EP this summer !!

OH THE PUMPING!!!

I like the song but the mix really needs work haha, it sounds like older Monuments stuff...
Cymbals are pumping way too much and stuff is over compressed.

However again, I do like it :D

it's sounding increasingly better, bud!

absolutely go with less compression, as stated above. get more room mics in the drum tone to make it spacious and fat.

try mixing a compressed and uncompressed signal (manhattan compression). that usually sounds tasty.

Nice tone on the guitars! I have to agree the kit is way to compressed. Gotta let the cymbal transients through and a little more tone and space on the snare would be great. (all of this is of course only my opinion...fwiw) :)

Hey Thanks for the advices Morten ;) !
I agree it's too much compressed, I use Blockfish Compressor on drums and guitars.
The guitar tone is an ENGL Powerball, but for the EP the tone will be much better = Maxon OD808 screamer + compressor, and the recording with 2 mics instead of one, SM57 + condenser ! =)

I don't ever heard this song before !
For us we chosen this title because Ex Nihilo mean " the creation with nothing " the begining of something, and It will be the second track of our Ep this summer !
