NGD: Schecter Damien 7 diamond series + Signature strings

Hello all, it's been a long time since I've been on here, years in fact. I've been trying to get back into guitar after taking a break for years .Last weekend I traded a guitar in + some cash for this beauty. I've been listening to a lot of Nile recently and I just had to get something to get back into it on. It's plays wonderfully. I even got Karl's signature strings to use, so I can get those fat bends on the high notes and those deep chugs on the bottom. Trying to get the hang of the atmospheric 5 string chords and the fast picking. The gauges are 70-58-38-17-12-10-8. I'm quite enjoying the guitar, it's only my second 7 string. It really makes me wanna get back to it and practice more and make up for the years I missed. But anyways, I've missed it here.

That .008" for the High E is the right way to go! But you may get a lot of hate here for those "loose strings" hahaha.

I've never seen a string gauge set span from a 70 to an 8! That's for Drop A?

It's definitely a challenge, my fingers definitely don't have the finesse as Karl does. It's fun learning tho, I'd like to have the scalloped frets too but I can do without lol. Playing a 7 in general is a challenge for me since it's new to me

Recently got a Damien bass just because of the "all black/bat inlays" theme with this series, sounds great too.
